Amen! Writers simply keep writing! Thank you for the encouragement to keep going, Glenna!

I appreciated considering what I do in these three "easy, but simple" spheres of the writing life. "Often" (likely because of focusing issues) is my biggest challenge. I have found that using a timer is helpful; there are also some fun timed writing sprints on YouTube.

Wow. What a beautiful post. I especially love this:

“All my writing, in some fashion, has to turn a reader to Jesus, and that means I must know Him well if I want to move a reader’s gaze His way. I don’t have anything good, wise, or helpful to say as a writer apart from what God has provided in Scripture.”

I agree 100%.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who talks out loud to herself and paces the house while in the writing process! Appreciate all of these words, Glenna! I really have found writing what I'm learning from Him/His Word is the best approach (at least, for me).

That is what I've always heard... to be a writer, simply write! And, I do - with my whole heart, a new heart that Jesus gave me when He saved me. I love your words. Very enjoyable and helpful, offering solid truth and a foundation (His Word) to work from. As another Christian writer, I believe what you've detailed here is so beneficial and I'm grateful. Thank you.

I appreciate the advice to pray for your readers. I think that’s something easy to forget. As a preacher, I pray for the congregation I will be preaching to. And of course the same would apply to the people I am writing to!
